LessPopMoreFizz.com is a blog that is largely, but not entirely about music. Detours into politics, deep geekery, or any number of other things should not be unexpected.
So just who are you?
My name is Keith. I used to run a fairly well read musicblog called Teaching The Indie Kids to Dance Again. Then I stopped updating it because I ran out of time. Nowadays, I have time again, but I really can’t bring myself to engage in necromancy on the old domain. I wanted a fresh start that let me play around with some new formatting. Hence, this.
And what is ‘this’ exactly?
This is a new blog, that will, yes, contain music posts with links to MP3’s, just like before, but it will also contain other posts, which may or may not contain links, and which may or may not be to some form of media to feed your ADD, stimulation starved dinosaur brain.
I’ve never heard of you before, but want to see the old stuff, where is it?
I haven’t done, and won’t be doing, anything to the old site, or it’s archives, which can be found over here. Most of the music links are dead at this point, but I’m sure through the magic of the internet, you can mange to get a listen to most of the songs I refer to there.
Doesn’t everyone and his mother have an Music Blog? Isn’t it too late to start one?
Yes. No. I’ve been Music Blogging, minus the hiatus, since people were arguing over what we should even call the genre. Why should I consider stopping now? Besides, I never did this for the money or the fame or the free cd’s. I did it because I was listening to some amazing music, and I wanted to see to it that someone else, somewhere, got to listen to it too. When I found out it was a lot of someone elses, well, that was just icing.
Will you listen to my/my friend’s/my clients music?
I’ll put it on the pile and hopefully get to it. I try to listen to everything I’m sent, but that is pretty tough. You can email keith@lesspopmorefizz.com for more information about where to send things, or just attach an MP3 (though a CD recieved in the mail is, strangely enough, more likely to be spun.)
